Catalyst Bible Study Launching Fall 2011
So excited to announce the addition of our new Catalyst bible study for next Fall. This will be your opportunity to explore the Biblical connections between Catalyst projects, themes, and conversations had around Detroit.

Lydia and Melanie were originally going to work with a Detroit Public School for their project. However, this spring break, a new passion developed in them. Melanie traveled to Belize with Wayne State’s “Belize: ProHealth: An International Health Care Experience” study abroad program. While in Belize, Melanie noticed the need for art supplies for local kids in the community. Melanie and Lydia are currently exploring ways to meet this need.
I’m pretty sure that the project I’m doing for Catalyst will working with my friend Ogie’s church, called LifeGate Fellowship Church. They’re a pretty small church (only about 30-40 members including the youth) and they’re moving to a new building. Ogie and I have not made any real plans for what exactly we want to do to raise money for this, but that’s what we’re gonna try to figure out in the next couple weeks.
Meredith is still in the development stages of her project, but she enjoys doing large projects and organizing groups of people. Because of this, she wants to do a project that involves a lot of volunteers. She’s unsure what direction she wants to take, but she’s open to any suggestions about work that needs to be done and causes that need support or donations.
